About a week before the con I will be on a trip with my Husband where I will likely have some free time in the evenings. I unfortunately did not get a table again this year, except this time I don't know anybody else that has room to share either.  I really enjoy Sakuracon, it's my favorite convention and I'm bummed that I won't get to go this year, so if anybody out there's reading this and was lucky enough to get a table, if you're willing to share please let me know! In other news I've been sick for almost 2 weeks now and it's getting old.. I'm finally starting to get over it I think but I still just have no energy to do anything.

So short update, I got a new computer last month, yay! It's been a slow process adjusting, but it's been a nice change. I think I'm going to have to buy a new scanner and printer eventually cause I don't think my old ones are compatible with Vista.. Lameness, I had to buy a painter upgrade because painter 7 is also not vista compatible, also lame.  Luckily Photoshop CS still works fine on this new comp, Funny thing though, the screen is so crisp that I've had trouble using my old inking method, so I'm trying new methods that seem to be working pretty well.  I can't post the current piece I'm working on since it's for Fanime Artist Pool, but I think I might try and post some uncolored line art once I'm done with that so you guys can see.  I've been unhappy with my inking process for awhile now but didn't really know why, so it's been a breath of fresh air to finally have a new method.  Aside from that no big news here, just stressing about money like the everybody else.. it's giving me tummy aches   Which brings us to the point of this journal...



Sorry, I know there's been a lota these journals going up lately, no pressure though, I just know there have been a few people waiting for me to open again.. so since I've gotten a good chunk of my commissions done I decided it was a good time.  I'm opening all options, so Pencil, Colored Pencil, and Digital! I decided my website needed a new updated and simplified layout, I've cut out a lot of the old content but it wasn't really up to date anyway.  Along with that I started setting up a store to sell prints and stuff, I want to put up buttons and keychains if I can manage to get better pictures of them (my camera sucks) I also have some Original Art to sell off too, so keep an eye out for that.  Check it out:

I took a commission at Kumoricon a few weeks ago for a custom keychain, I thought I'd offer a few more slots for keychains incase anybody else is interested.  

They are $40 USD (Shipping included, add $5 if you're outside the US) you'll get a single keychain plus the digital artwork used to make it.  These can be chibi characters or whatever you can think of that will fit in a small keychain size picture.  If you want more than one copy of the keychain it's an extra $10 each.

I'm Making progress on Commissions and hope to be opening up full commissions soon, if you're waiting on a commission from me and would like an update, please feel free to note me any time!

The Stars have aligned, thanks to dumb luck and determination it looks like ~jadedice and I will be attending AX this year!  Ahh, I love last minute planning....now if you'll excuse me I'll be locked in my room for the next month working on commissions and hopefully some new art.




I've been so busy that I hadn't even had time to let you all know I was headed to fanime last weekend, but I was there.  I must say, I enjoyed it much more than last year. I spent most of the weekend with ~jadedice since we roomed together and our tables were by eachother.  This is a quick journal so I won't go into huge details on the con but I was invited to join the Artist Pool for next year, so hopefully you will be seeing my art involved in some part of the con badges/booklet/banners for fanime 2010.  Unfortunately I didn't get to walk around as much as I would have liked but I was able to meet some peeps and make a few new friends.  For those of you who commissioned me at the con and will be waiting for me to finish, please remember that my older commissions will take priority, but I will be working non stop to get all of them done asap.

On that note, ~jadedice and I decided rather last minute that we want to try and get to Anime Expo this year, so if anybody has a table or hotel (or extras?) they're willing to share please let me know! We might have a table now but it can't hurt to have more options incase something doesn't work out. I'm willing to offer money, cookies, souls, art, etc... for your help.

SakuraCon has come and gone, if I wasn't so busy I would tell you guys all about it, but instead here's the short version.  First, many many thanks to everyone who was able to stop by my table!  I didn't think it was going to be possible but I actually enjoyed the con even more than I did last year!

One of the highlights was a super fun interview for anime news network, I'm pretty sure I'm fairly boring in real life but Evan did a wonderful job of making my life sound just a tiny bit epic. Got to see a bunch of friends again, and also got to meet a bunch of new peeps, the comfortable atmosphere is one of the things I love most about SakuraCon, probably because it's my home town con. feel free to giggle at this picture of me and my table display [link] (It was taken on the last day so I was running out of stuff, and it looks off balanced, sorry.)  

Anyway, I have quite a bit of stuff left over, including my sketch collection book that didn't sell as well I'd hoped. If anybody's interested in prints or stuff just let me know and I'll write up more about what I have left.
